NEW YORK (March 25, 2024) – Ms. Foundation for Women President and CEO Teresa C. Younger released the following statement in celebration of Ms. Foundation Co-Founding Mother Gloria Steinem’s 90th birthday:

“The Ms. Foundation for Women extends our best wishes to co-founding mother Gloria Steinem on her 90th birthday and reflects on her continued tremendous impact. Over 50 years ago, Gloria had the radical idea to support women-led movements and founded the Ms. Foundation alongside Patricia Carbine, Letty Cottin Pogrebin, and Marlo Thomas, where this vision has powered our work ever since. Gloria’s work and fearlessness resonates throughout feminist generations and is an important reminder that even in the face of what feels like insurmountable obstacles; with hope, perseverance, and dedication we will prevail in the fight for gender and racial equity. Happy birthday, Gloria!”
