NEW YORK (October 30, 2020) – Ms. Foundation for Women President and CEO Teresa C. Younger released the following statement following the announcement that she has joined Gucci’s Chime for Change Advisory Board:
“I am thrilled to be joining Gucci’s Chime for Change Advisory Board with activist and writer Sinéad Burke, playwright Jeremy O. Harris, and actor, activist, and one of Ms. Foundation’s 2015 Feminist of the Year, Amandla Stenberg, in support of the new #StandWithWomen campaign. We will further the organization’s work to convene, unite, and strengthen the voices speaking out for gender equality.
“This is an opportunity to share our voice with women around the world, and it is truly an honor and privilege to lift up the work led by women of color in the United States. With the funding from the #StandWithWomen campaign, the Ms. Foundation for Women has continued support for grassroots organizations in the United States, including Black Youth Project 100, National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum, California Latinas for Reproductive Justice, El Pueblo, Inc., The Garment Worker Center, Trans Sistas of Color Project, and Women With a Vision. We have deepened our commitment to people who have been disproportionately impacted by domestic violence, economic hardship, and attacks on reproductive rights during the pandemic.
“I look forward to working with Chime for Change and fellow advisors fighting for gender equity.”
