Ms. Foundation For Women Announces 2025 Women of Vision Awards: Celebrating Our Collective P.O.W.E.R.

The nation’s oldest women’s foundation will recognize Lynda Carter, Jenice Fountain, Jeannette Pai-Espinosa, #WinWithBlackWomen, and Alaqua Cox at the annual gala on April 29, 2025.

NEW YORK – Today, the Ms. Foundation for Women announced the honorees for the 2025 Women of Vision Awards: Celebrating Our Collective P.O.W.E.R. This year’s annual gala will take place at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Manhattan, New York on April 29, 2025 and honor an inspiring, powerful group of grantee partners and leaders who are driving change across politics, media, and healthcare, and developing the next generation of activists. The event will help raise funds for the organization’s mission to build women’s collective power, and this year’s theme, “Celebrating Our Collective P.O.W.E.R.,” stands for the work the organization does  Providing Opportunities, Wins, Equity, and Relationships to strengthen feminist movements and reflects what can be accomplished when we work together. As a leading feminist philanthropic organization, Ms. Foundation has long understood that in the face of what can feel like insurmountable odds, our collective power is the answer to how we can achieve gender and racial equity. 

This year’s Woman of Vision Award honorees include:

  • Singer, Actor, and Philanthropist Lynda Carter, for her ongoing work to champion women and girls (particularly the geeks and nerds among us).
  • Grantee partner,  Jenice Fountain, Executive Director of the Yellowhammer Fund which is an advocacy and reproductive justice organization serving Alabama, Mississippi, and the Deep South.
  • Grantee partner, Jeannette Pai-Espinosa, President of Justice + Joy National Collaborative that advances the rights of women and girls by centering youth and intergenerational activism for systems change. 

This year’s Marie C. Wilson Award honoree is:

  • #WinWithBlackWomen, a powerful collective of intergenerational, intersectional Black women leaders that supports Black women running for elected office at the federal, state, and local levels throughout the nation and advances the policy agendas of Black women-led organizations.

This year’s Free to Be You and Me Award honoree is :

  • Actress Alaqua Cox with the Free to Be You and Me Award, which honors young activists enacting change, for her work to increase representation for young women, particularly women and girls of color who live with disabilities.

“This year, we are proud to honor a group of amazing women who exemplify what it means to harness our power and fight to protect our rights in a time where they have become more at risk than ever,” said Ruth McFarlane, Deputy CEO of the Ms. Foundation. “Our honorees are leaders and champions for all who advocate for a better future and a more inclusive society. Lynda Carter, #WinWithBlackWomen, Jenice Fountain, Jeannette Pai-Espinosa and Alaqua Cox embody the resilience, dedication, and commitment needed to face the challenges that lie ahead.”

The evening will be hosted by Danielle Moodie, host of iHeart’s #WokeAF Daily, co-host of the Daily Beast’s The New Abnormal and #democracyish, and Ms. Foundation Board Member. DJ Mary Mac will perform a special after-party set following the awards ceremony. 

The Women of Vision Awards is the Ms. Foundation for Women’s largest annual fundraising event, honoring feminist advocates, activists, and thought-leaders who ignite policy and drive progress. Since its inception, the Ms. Foundation has invested more than $100 million to support over 1,600 organizations across the country and strengthen the capacity of women-led movements to advance meaningful social, cultural, and economic change for all.  

Previous Women of Vision honorees include former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, Academy Award-nominated director Ava DuVernay, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, former Editor-In-Chief of Teen Vogue Elaine Welteroth, filmmaker and activist dream hampton, the co-chairs of the Women’s March on Washington, marketing executive Bozoma Saint John, fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg, Sheila Nevins of HBO Documentary Films, Suzanne Lerner of Michael Stars, and Jennifer and Peter Buffett on behalf of the NoVo Foundation.
