Every August, we head to Martha’s Vineyard to build community alongside those committed to creating social change. Ms. on Martha’s provides a unique opportunity to bring together a diverse array of people across industries, geographies, race, and age.
This year, we’re returning to the Vineyard on August 18 at 5pm at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury, where we’ll say farewell to our outgoing President & CEO Teresa C. Younger. This year’s event will also be the first public appearance of Tracy Sturdivant, our incoming President & CEO, ahead of her official start in September. We can’t think of a better way to introduce her to this community.
Tracy will be joined by Kimberlé Crenshaw, the pioneering legal scholar and advocate who has fundamentally changed how we think about race and gender. Tracy and Kimberlé will sit down for a conversation on women’s philanthropy, building allyship and changing culture, and the power of intersectionality. Plus, we’ll hear from Kimberlé about her new book, “Backtalker.” Registration is free but RSVP is required.
