Ms. Foundation Launches #WeWontGoBack Campaign To Elevate a True Vision for Gender Equality in America
New campaign asks: What does your feminist future look like?
New York, NY– In response to continuous attacks on women’s bodies and rights by the Trump administration, today the Ms. Foundation for Women is launching the #WeWontGoBack campaign, complete with a site for feminists to share their bold vision for the future of gender equality in America.

The campaign officially kicks off as fierce attacks on women’s rights are underway in the White House, in Congress, in states and in our courts. The new initiative builds on a recurring theme launched during the Women’s March earlier this year, and later headlined during the organization’s star-studded gala with Secretary Clinton. The new website is designed to spark deeper conversations about what the world will look like if equality were a priority.
“Our fight for equality is under attack. Whether it’s Trumpcare, executive orders asserting control over our bodies or budgets that gut critical services, the Trump Administration has clearly targeted women for its worst policies,” said Teresa Younger, president and CEO of the Ms. Foundation for Women. “We’re launching this site to provide a safe space for everyone who believes in equality, regardless of gender, to envision a brighter future for us all. We are taking a stand to not only say, ‘We won’t go back,” but to also empower our movement to fight to make that vision a reality.”
#WeWontGoBack is yet another extension of Ms. Foundation’s fight to protect, and push back against, any attempt to roll back critical protections against gender discrimination. Ms. Foundation will share responses on their extensive social networks to ensure equity and equality remain front in center in conversations about the future of our country. There is no end date for the campaign.
For more than 40 years, the Ms. Foundation for Women has secured women’s rights and freedoms with a special commitment to building the power of low-income, immigrant and women of color. The foundation invests funds, time, expertise and training in trailblazing organizations nationwide.
