Tamara Vasan is the Director, Institutional Partnerships at the Ms. Foundation for Women. She brings more than 15 years of experience as a philanthropic leader in the human services and social justice fields. Her expertise includes annual fundraising plans, program and strategy development, budgeting, and advising on meaningful performance measurements. She specializes in forging strong partnerships with foundations and public agencies to craft effective grant proposals.
Tamara has led efforts that have raised millions in private and public funds to support a broad range of direct service programs, as well as policy and advocacy work for criminal justice reform, reproductive rights, race and gender equity, and environmental justice.
Tamara earned a BA in Social Science from the Evergreen State College, an MA in English and Creative Writing from Hollins University, and a Certificate in Fundraising from New York University.
