Led by Black trans women in Alabama, Transgender Advocates Knowledgeable Empowering (T.A.K.E.) was founded in 2012 and provides life-saving direct services to Black transgender women and folks of color. Our mission is to empower trans people of color in Alabama and beyond by meeting needs and increasing accessibility, helping our community not only to survive, but thrive.
