SHE builds an aligned base of Black women who inform, advocate for and enact a collective policy agenda to address the needs of Black women across the state of Louisiana. SHE is weaving a new tapestry of civically engaged Black women who will become Louisiana’s advocates, operatives, decision-makers, and power brokers. SHE’s work reorganizes Louisiana’s power structures to recognize Black women as activists, leaders, and elected officials who represent a crucial base of power. SHE’s strategies include leadership development, policy creation, collective advocacy, cultivating aligned policymakers, training issues based GOTV managers, mobilizing Black voters, and educating elected officials.
