Sunny Daly, Senior Manager, Foundation Relations

Sunny Daly, supports the Foundation's reproductive justice and other grants and capacity building programs through institutional fundraising, participation in philanthropic networks and development assistance to grantees. She is an active board member of the New York Abortion Access Fund and involved in numerous progressive community projects. Previously, Sunny was responsible for operations and development at the National Council for Research on Women and created venues for youth participation at the United Nations Population Fund. In 2009 she completed Masters' degrees in Gender Studies and Political Science at the American University in Cairo, where she published her analysis of young women's activism and the NGO-ization of the post-Beijing women's movement in Egypt, and won a grant to present this work at the Women as Global Leaders conference at Zayed University, Dubai. Sunny has also published on reproductive justice issues, including an in-depth study of social marketing for the first birth control pill written as her undergraduate thesis. A Reed graduate of the class of '03 and one time Renn Fayre Czar, Sunny lives in Queens with her partner but misses her native West Coast.
