Fasting for Immigration Reform
Our nation’s broken immigration system is compromising the health, safety and well-being of millions of women. Low-income, immigrant women face difficulties accessing the health care system. They have fewer protections against gender-based violence. And immigrant women who assume caregiving responsibilities experience more severe hardship when they’re separated from their families.
Immigration reform advocates in Washington, D.C., and around the country are joining forces to fast for immigration justice – sacrificing food in solidarity. The Ms. Foundation for Women is supporting this effort to draw attention to the need for immigration reform that reunites families and provides a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million aspiring Americans.
Join the Ms. Foundation in sending the message to Congress that it’s time to schedule a vote on immigration reform
